The TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Caliber 36 RS Caliper is an imposing watch. It is 43 mm wide and 15.75 mm high. It's also pretty heavy at just over 190 grams. Its steel construction is a reminder that this is a manly instrument capable of serious timekeeping duties.
 The main feature of the watch is the 1/10th of a second chronograph powered by the TAG Heuer caliber 36. This is a modified version of the famous Zenith El Primero movement, which spins at 36,000 rpm, giving the ability to measure these smaller intervals.
 What sets this Grand Carrera apart, however, is a simple but wonderfully useful and easy-to-use caliper that allows one to read the 1/10th of a second measurement right on the dial. The whole thing works wonderfully and precisely. No wonder TAG Heuer won first prize in the sports watch category at the 2008 Grand Prix d'Horologerie de Geneve for this innovation.
