The Carrera Panamericana was considered the most dangerous street race in the world in the 1950s. Driving was on public roads from border to border through Mexico. However, in the lightweight racing cars equipped without any safety technology at that time, so many racing drivers and partly also spectators lost their lives that there were too many even for the racing sport of the 1950s. After only 5 years the event was banned. Jack Heuer, the great-grandson of company founder Edouard Heuer, was so fascinated by this race that he named his masterpiece, the Heuer Carrera, after him. None other than racing legend - and Carrera Panamericana winner - Juan Manuel Fangio wore the Carrera during his Formula 1 world championships.
Typical to this day: So that the Formula 1 driver can quickly read the clock and, above all, his lap time, the clock is equipped with a curved glass and a lower register scale, which ensures the best readability. A quality that can also be very useful in today's hectic everyday life.
Our Carrera CV2113-0 with the Tag Heuer Caliber 17 belongs to the 8th generation and was produced between 2002 and 2008. It has minor signs of use, but compared to many other offers, the original bracelet is in almost unused condition. There is also an original TAG Heuer travel box. With its elegant black and silver design, it is already an absolute classic for us.
